Trance Academy pres. Vince Forwards & Roald Velden

Heren!

“Dreaming Of You” van The Thrillseekers vind ik erg goed.

Erg veel zin in!

Gentleman! I believe you have the scoop of playing the first B2B set at Trance Academy, so why not a B2B interview? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Vincent, what do you think is Roalds best track?

Vincent: Roald has made several tracks that appeal to me, but a recent track like “Little Things”is one I really love. For me the favorite because of the pure progressive sound.

Roald, what do you think is Vincents best track?

Roald: Vincent made a lot of quality progressive house tracks, but if I really need to chooseย  I would go for “Momentum”. Besides that he makes very good ambient tracks lately, a genre I also love.

Which track would you like to remix someday?

Vincent: A track I really would like to remix someday is “Dreaming Of You” by The Thrillseekers. But I’m afraid you can only mess up haha. But there are a lot of tracks I would like to give my own twist. As well as older Trance tracks as the newer ones. A track must be touching me and inspire me. For example,ย ย Dan & Sam – Breaking The Illusion, released on Silk Music has a vibe I love and would like to remix.

Roald: Actually I have the same track as Vincent.. “Dreaming Of You” by The Thrillseekers is one of my favorites. I also would love to work with the stems of older trance tracks like Smith & Pledger – Forever. Beautiful vocal Trance!

Whats your best/most inspiring non-Trance track?

Vincent: What inspires me the most and for me personally is the best music are tracks by Mango or Kobana. Most of them are a few years old already but for me tracks that putted the calm progressive genre on the map. Maybe it’s even a bit underrated in my opinion. I still get a lot of pleasure and inspiration from that music.

Roald: Again, a bit the same story like Vincent. Mango is one of my hero’s in the progressive house scene and because of him I made the switch from uplifting trance to progressive house. Next to Mango I’m a big fan of everything that has to do with “chill” music and I like other house genres like Tech House.

2017 has been a very productive year for both of you, what was the highlight?

Vincent: Productive is the right word yes! ๐Ÿ™‚ Being so productive is a highlight, but the release with Roald, my own EP “A Different Place” and of course our gig at Trance Academy are high in the list.

Roald: I’ve been quite producte yes. A lot of tracks and releases. For me my highlight was my new EP released by Progressive House Worldwide:ย “Behind Every Picture”. My first gig at Trance Academy is also a highlight obviously and I’m really looking forward to it!

What can we expect at Trance Academy from your set?

We want to play what we stand for in the scene, so you can expect a set where we work from (melodic) progressive to progressive trance. Probably a few classics but also unreleased material! Accessible and dance-able, so a perfect start to warm up the night! ๐Ÿ™‚
